Today is the 40th anniversary of the initial release of Led Zeppelin IV.
 
Americans got first crack at the monumental LP, on November 8, 1971, and then four days later, on the 12th, the Brits found copies in their stores.
 
I’ve always felt that you shouldn’t trust anyone who couldn’t name the tracks on the album in order–or couldn’t identify the fifth rune.
